just drove home!! muahahahahhahaa from town. =] drove to nus in the morning for the law test. which i sadly screwed up. and it's even worse cos there are so many rj pros there. boohooooooo. it wasnt really super hard or anything just that i couldnt seem to put what i thought into proper arguments. =[ =[ =[ sigh. at least my offer from ucl finally came. so looks like you all will be seeing me off soon anyway. =[ met many pple there at nus though. ivan maulana! my longlost angel haha. and geri too and audrey and yeah, ten thousand rj pple. -_- oh and my cousin joshua hahaa. cabbed with audrey and timmy to town. yes if you noticed, i didnt drive there hahaha. my mum drove the car home. owells. i'm still not trusted to drive alone yet. =[ oh but i stuck my triangles already! so kind pple gave way to me. =] met kt and had lunch with timmy and her. then off went a grumpy timmy and kt and i went to shop for my sister's belated birthday present. bumped into iris! manymany times haha. kt says she looks chioer! haha see iris you happy now right. hahahaha. =] and bumped into juelin too! =] took a bus home and like 15 minutes later i hopped into the car and drove to town to exchange the slippers i bought for my sister. wrong size. -_- but yayyyy i drove againnnn! hahaha. then cos it was quite late, my mum asked me to switch on the headlights and i pulled the lever and the wipers came out. -____- and i had a hard time switching them off too. sheesh. haha but after awhile everything was back in order and i turned the right switch! =] and my curbside stopping has improved! my car is now straight and close to the curb. =] it usually juts out at an angle and my instructor always tells me other cars are just gonna smash into it. =[ and tmr i'm going to the gym at the club with my sister and she told me i'll drive!! hahahaha. yayyyyy i am happy. =] but tmr will be the first time i'm gonna park!!! wah scary. and now since my sister finished her exams i'll be able to drive more! how fun! haha. my mum scolded me for speeding just now though. on the way home. hehe whoooooops. my sister still kept telling her friends she'll be late meeting them cos i was driving. -_- oh and just now when kt and i were shopping, guess what we saw????? an angel!!!!!!!!!!! hahahahahahhahahaha!!!!! i was extremely amused!! so embarrassing for him. maybe he's paid manymany money to do this. haha!
sigh anyway. i really hope i can get into nus....=[ then i can drive to sch everyday. haha. but i think i'll be leaving on a jetplane soon. =[ and seeing things spelt out so clearly and concretely like that just now, with the entire situation thrown back in my face... i guess it's really permanent already. looks like i have no choice but to let things be the way they are now. owells. =[

law interview yesterday went quite well. luckily i got nice interviewers. although the man was quite off and asking me some dumb questions then when they both asked questions at the same time i chose to answer the woman. haha. but all in all it was fine. they asked me to summarize my kiasu-ly long personal statement thingie in one minute so just talked about why i wanted to do law in nus. i think they were quite amused haha. and luckily my sister prepared me in the car so i just raised nus to the skies and said how pro it was yada yada. then they asked me to talk about anything i've read in the papers that made an impact on me then i was abit flustered cos er, i dont really read the papers! haha. but they said it didnt have to be recent news so i talked about the sindee neo one. that one quite big news right so i knew at least aBIT about it la huh. hahaha. only the gist though like how the girl got thrown down and the rest was tikum guesswork. haha i remember during the cambridge interview i talked about the took case cos it was also a big case. but anyway i managed to throw in some legal basics and then they asked me about terrorists too. talked some rubbish and thank goodness i remembered some stuff i read in the law readings my sister gave me. hopefully i used them in the right way haha. she said it was fine though so =]. wasnt as scared this time as for the cambridge interview cos i did what zhicong told me to do before the driving test to calm myself down! haha. and also cos my sister was waiting for me downstairs at the lobby and i could ask her everything right after the interview. =] and also luckily i decided to wear formal working clothes. ok actually yq and my sister told me to hahaha. but yeah cos jeans or other casual stuff dont really look very right. oh my sis said she saw this girl who wore a super short velvet mini skirt and she was rather disgusted. hahahaha. haha i realise theres a lotta "luckily"s in this post about the interview. but i was really lucky! cos right at least my questions werent so off. anna said she got asked about abortion, and janahan got asked about political freedom or sth lydat. or was it freedom of expression. dunno lah weird stuff. sigh but tmr's the written test and if its like gp i'm kinda dead cos my gp sucks. boohoo.
but anyway. i hope i'll have sth to write tmr!!! can imagine myself staring at a blank piece of paper for 1.5 hours. -_- i hope yq's and my suspicions are not trueeeee. if not, er i'll have another headache again. haha. although my suspicions are quite weak still so YES yq i hope you're not right! i hope hadri is not getting terrorised by gangsters in his platoon! haha! i hope my manicure wont chip so fast! hahaha! i hope soon i can believe things are really like that now. even though its still so unbelievable bleah. i hope i can get into nus law. and i hope you're fine.

just got back from dinner! with paul... and kt and zw! hahahahahhaaa!!!! damn amusing. i was quite late and the 3 of them were there at marche already and i was on the bus trying not to burst out laughing when i read kt's and paul's msgs. somemore i was the only one who knew everybody there. and i havent arrived! hahaha. so funny man. apparently they were trying to make small talk and such. anyway i must say first. this wasnt my idea! haha. paul's. =] then i wanted to bluff paul that i wasnt going to go already haha but didnt work. owells. anyway i ate so muchhhh and i'm still feeling damn full. and fat. =[ spent so much too. i really dunno where all my money went man. not like i went out alot last week. somemore marvin paid that time when we went out. hehehee. so whereeee did my money go????? hmmmmmmm. so mysterious. oh oh and today, i got 2 exciting mail! haha. ok not exactly. but yeah i got my driving license! as in the card. with my really ugly and pissed looking photo. hahahahaa. dammit i should have used another photo. this license is for life!!!! argh!!! i asked my sister whether can change but she says only if i lose it. bleah. and that means another 50bucks. owells i'll just keep it hidden then haha. and the other mail i got is from nus! law interview and test. but i think i'll screw up as usual. not very good at such stuff. =[ then it'll be off to the uk for me. =[
my older sister's off. today, when she was studying in the living room and i was reading harrypotter&thehalfbloodprince again (and i still think snape is baaaadddddd!!!! she disagrees though. -_-), she suddenly told me "hey, you know if you drive and kill someone, you'll have to serve a mandatory jail sentence of up to a maximum of 5 years?" and i'm like, "WHY are you telling me this????!!!!!!" -______________- grr.

tiring day. there was a mcdonald's birthday party in the kindergarten today and sooo many excited kids in one room is tough work man. at least they're relatively well-behaved. just...really excited. haha. was quite amusing too cos all of them had to play games and the small ones are so silly. and my toddlers were involved too! so funny. they had to run and pick up a ball and run back. then we told lucas, "you want to eat mcdonalds??? if you want then you must go get that ball!" and off he dashed. or rather, er, waddled. hahaha. so cute. =] came home and slept before going to meet hadri for dinner. sushi again yummmm i like. =] then went to toys r us hahaha where tim and azizul joined us. check out hadri the bunny! hahaahhaa. and thats him in his new house. sadako-ing....... and the jedis! haha. and then we went to kumar's club. or pub. or whatever. at liat towers. so dodgyyy. he's damn funnyyyy and actually he kinda reminds me of hadri. hahahahhaa. kumar!! in his freaking short skirt.

lunch with paul yesterday resulted in this - ok its damn ugly. haha. mudpie for me and salad for him. dammit i'm such a piggg. bleah. but! then i went to school to play vball! hehe so hopefully i managed to burn some fats there. only four of us went to play with the juniors though. kt yq sarah and i. edwin went too. but we had fun. =] i should have cut my nails though. now my palm has little fingernail cuts from service. ouchies. speaking of which, jiaolian was rather appalled when he saw how i couldnt even throw properly for service anymore. hahaha. ehh but after awhile i got er..slightly better ok. haha. then it was dinner at j8. and edwin refused to let me drive his car. =[ he very kindly sent me home though. then max was all ready to cycle over to borrow the fearless dvd from me. happily pumped his bike tyres and the next thing he knew, they burst! hahahahahhahaa. off. so he had to come running over, glistening and glowing with sweat and all. and getting spooked out by bt sedap rd. last time still refused to walk me home. -______- now still dare to tell me spooky. herh!!! evil. haha. bish.
oh yeah we met clinton and lynn at j8! =] missed him. havent talked to him in supersuper long. and he used to be the one i always turn to for advice and crap. haha. still remember how we used to come up with outrageous plans for me to get to know someone. muahahhaa. and we called it the tong3 yi1!! with really stupid codenames relating to history. cuba. hahaha! and ussr and china. and i think kt was known as turkey. kaiturkey fried chicken hahahhaa. ok sorry i think nobody understands all this but yes it was just hilarious la. yeah and he was also the one who psyched me up for vball and talked to me abt it whenever i'm upset. and talked to me abt certain pple who's now... no longer in my life i guess... and try to sort things out for me. and he always makes me laugh with his silliness. haha. =]

just came back from driving the bmw. the signal lever is on the left side instead of the right! and so different from the honda. bleah. knocked down my neighbour's dustbin when doing three point turn hahahaha. then drove around holland, clementi and sixth avenue. oh and up and down bukit sedap road. manymanymany times. -___- quite hard to check blindspot though... hmm. and this is my first time driving at night. haha the other cars must be damn pissed off with me cos i drove quite slowly and slowed down at traffic light junctions while others just speed through. owells.

WOOHOOO I PASSED!!!!!!!!!!!! =] =] =] =] =]!!!!!! 8 points! hehe. =] omg i was sooooooo veryvery scared before that! then i was all jittery in the car next to my dad and he was showing off to me how he could drive with one finger. "see, i can even turn with one finger!!!" -___________- hahaha. yeah then luckily my warm-up instructor was this really nice soft spoken man and i drove quite well other than moving off in 2nd gear once. =] so i was quite happy. but then while waiting for the test briefing i got all nervous again cos i was thinking like, what if i'm only good for the warm-up and screw up the test! hahaha. then we went to ballot for our test routes and testers and i got test route 10. then my contacts started feeling abit weird and i got all scared again that halfway when i drive my contacts may screw up! but i couldnt go fix it cos i was the first one called out by my tester. yeah so just went for the test. luckily it was a nice sunny day! though when i went on the road it drizzled slightly. but only slightly. =] and my tester is very nice!!! yayyyy my hopes for a sweet lenient old man came true! hahaha. once when i forgot to signal he just reminded me to, and didnt penalise me for it! and when i was on the road then i was trying to shift to 3rd gear and i shifted wrongly to 5th!! and then i tried to change back to 3rd but i went to 1st! and then i got abit flustered and went to neutral and then went to 3rd finally hahah and he didnt penalise either! =] yeah but i got points for "fail to confirm safety" for both vertical parking and directional change. owells. he was so scary at the end of the test la. asked me to go to the briefing room and was like "you know, alot of accidents happen because pple dont check the back when reversing. you didnt check! twice! but.... i'm gonna pass you" haha omg. scare me. yes and soooo i passed!!! YAYYYY!!!! =]
yup so driving's all done in 2 months!! and its only cos my mum and paul told me to just go for the earlier test date! haha even though i was sooo freaking apprehensive about it. =] and thanks to kt, yq, sarah, joyce, joel, zhicong, jiawei, paul, tim, hadri, janahan, weixian and everybody else who wished me good luck and tried to ease my fears and got so happy for me when i passed. so sweet. =]
then i happily cabbed down to town to meet hadri and tiffie!! hung around at coffeebean and talked crap just like when we were in school. i miss those times man. and i went to buy kinder surprise for my kids! for easter. and cos i was happyyyyy hahaha.
at least today i felt too happy and relieved to think about other sucky stuff.
hmm. and jiawei just called! =] apparently he's not gonna be confined for 3 months hahahhaa but his bmt is 3 months. so he's still =[. owells.
and my sister has just told me i could go try the bmw when she gets back! =] =] =]

after driving, as usual i took out my phone to msg jiawei about the horrors of sabotage drivers and other irritating instances and to "howww" at him about my lousy driving. and then i remembered. he's in camp!! argh. =[ and now he just told me that he'll be confined for 3 mths!! that is like freaking long la. and he said he threw away his dinner cos no time to eat. poor boy. =[ his task for me before he went in is to not cut my hair and leave it looong. looks like by the time he comes out it'll be like at my waist or sth HAHA. right. anyway. i feel like crap now. so bye.

i'm getting increasingly worried. and i have this nagging feeling that i'm gonna fail. sigh. i reallyreallyreally hope that on wed there will be no sneaky traffic lights and yellow boxes or evil drivers. i hope the weather's nice and cool and nottt raining. i hope there wont be any stupid taxis suddenly stopping to pick up passengers. i hope i'll be focused and remember to change gear and notice the green arrow. i hope no one horns me. i hope there'll be no pedestrians hahaha. i hope i get a short easy test route. and i hope the tester will be a sweet lenient old man (haha I WISH.) but most of all, i just hope i pass. hahahaha. sighhhh.
today wasnt that good. though technically i would pass with 14 points. veered off course a couple of times and didnt use the appropriate gear. guess i wasnt really concentrating. last revision tmr. and i'm quite scared i wont be used to the test car and end up stalling like mad or knocking the engine or sth. hmm. today i saw this girl from rj on test. and i kindly gave way to her and waited haha. actually my instructor instructed me to but still. heh. saw her again while waiting for the bus back to the station and i peeked at her checklist. she passed!!!! i am so jealous. bleahh.
and i realised what's my ultimate problem already la! i am blur. veryveryvery. -__-
today i left the school and wanted to cab down to town to meet zhicong for lunch. then somehow i tumbled onto the road, twisted my ankle, and skinned my foot. and then a bus rumbled pass me while i scrambled up. so paiseh. hahahhaa. luckily my ankle's been sprained like 9 times so a little twist is nothing to it. =]
jiawei's going in tmr. i'm gonna miss him.. =[
i think i'm quite incoherent today haha.
and i guess after all this time of frustrating greyness, this is finally the end.

3 days. argh.
went to meet hadri, janahan and tim for lunch today. and janahan arrived with famous amos for me cos he thought i sounded sad on the phone. so sweet... =] he's like always buying me food haha. the slab of chocolate in j1 when i was sad, the pint of ben&jerry's when i was sick... and many other times. haha i think he's on some conspiracy to make me grow fat.
and these were taken when hadri and tim were in the middle of arguing something extremelyyyy explicit and gross. think, male anatomy and the necessity of clothes in camp. hahahahaha. and they were SO super loud that i bet the entire cafe could hear them. especially hadri and his booming voice which he projects across the room. hahaha it was sooo hilarious and i was laughing till there were like tears in my eyes and janahan and i just kept trying to shush them but their debate was just too heated. haha! and i really cannot imagine hadri in army. he thinks everything is gross and he's also scared of heights. plus he was lamenting the loss of tv. haha luckily he's pes c if not he wont be able to survive man. oh! and when i arrived in orchard mrt, i helped the royal thai navy buy standard tickets! hahahahhaa and then they were so grateful they asked to take a photo with me. too bad i didnt ask for one with them too. arghhhhh haha.

i seem to drive better when i get my own instructor and his car. HMMM and i used to complain so much about him. -_- haha. and i stopped knocking poles down in parallel parking! cos yesterday's instructor taught me some nifty tricks. =] directional change is better now too! so i guess its just my road now. which is better with my instructor just that i tend to chiong into dangerous situations. hehee whooops. hope i dont screw up on wed! only four more lessons to go. arghhhh. and i can't stand it when i'm already so stressed and pple come and make me feel worse abt driving! grr. jiawei's the best person to whine at and complain to man. but he's going in the day before my test!!! =[ =[ =[ =[ =[
anyway, yes adiv fixtures are out!!! will definitely go watch. but only sarah may be free to watch with me... or maybe yvette too. haha nvm, marvin!! nobody watch with me you watch with me ok!!!! =]
this brings back memories of our own adiv last year man... with the buildup of morale within both guys and girls teams. esp thru the blog hahaha. lotsa psyche-up posts and "ace and ole!"-ing. and the manymany sms-es between us before each game. and on the day of the very first match, almost the whole team went down to the table like, one period before we were supposed to be dismissed. haha and it wasnt even planned. =] and then there was the tournament itself. i miss that feeling man. the excitement and nerves. the cheering between our teams. me and kt's running commentary during the guys' games. titus's yells of "sexyy!!". edwin's talks. mr teo's nuttiness during the games that are soo cuteeee. like telling us to faster wrap up the game cos he had to go fetch his kid. hahaha. and just the whole atmosphere. owells. I love my team. =]

and so concludes day 3 of driving revision. monday was ok other than my refusal to give way, yesterday was better, and today was the worst of the whole 1 month plus that i've been driving! arghh. the instructor i got today was stricter and more particular and he kept telling me to do different things from what i've been used to. which led to me fumbling and being lousier and lousier as the lesson went on. wahlau mount curb like 6 times?! and its not even only during the courses. when turning also mount wahlauuuu. stalled like crazy too. parking knocked down poles. sigh. how am i gonna pass next wed!!!! this sucks laaaa. =[

safti today. it was hottttttt! saw quite a number of rj guys there. girls too actually. haha. =] with all the guys looking fit and hourglass-figured in their uniforms, tanned and all. even kennethteo looked darker hahahaa and that is like a major feat for him!
some of the boys i met. aaaaaaaaron too! havent seen him for super long. =] and janahan's uniform is damn funny. they couldnt fit his full name on his pocket so it just says "thirugnana" hahahaha! poor sambhandan and janahan are missingggg. anyway kt and i got a lift out to the boonlay station from a nice canteen auntie. =] headed to citylink to have sushi for lunch and i ate damn alot!!! how not to grow fat lydat. sighhh. hmm its like a sushi weekend for me man. had sushi yesterday with zhicong too at hollandv when he dragged me out. yayy i like sushi. =] waited for sarah and joyce and then we went to suntec to watch ice age 2!!!
its freaking funny!!! couldnt stop laughing during the movie laaa. partly because...
